Responsibilities:

Decontamination of instruments and equipment
Performance of assembly, packaging, and wrapping
Validation of sterilization equipment
Performance of sterilization
Performance of inventory, storage, and distribution functions
Performance of low-temperature sterilization
Demonstration of leadership behaviors
Implementation of quality improvement ideas
Communication skills to support team outcomes

Requirements:

High school diploma
One year of experience in sterile processing
Ability to communicate and follow directions
Computer skills
Experienced in operating sterilization equipment
Certified Central Service Tech within 90 days of hire

Working Conditions:

Exposure to blood and body fluids
Heavy lifting (up to 35 pounds)
Hepatitis vaccination at hire
Ability to respond quickly to emergent situations
Strength and dexterity to handle surgical instruments and equipment
Ability to access all areas of the department
