Job Title: Quality Control Systems Manager

Olgoonik is seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Systems Manager to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards are met in all aspects of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement project-specific Quality Control Plans and documents.
  • Plan and execute technical and administrative assignments to ensure quality control policies and procedures are met.
  • Communicate effectively with department and project personnel regarding quality control policies and procedures.
  • Develop an orientation program to ensure the workforce is familiar with the requirements of the contract and the Quality Control Program.
  • Prepare pre-construction submittals, including Written Quality Control Plan, Health and Safety Plan, and Work Plans.
  • Investigate quality concerns and problem-solve issues in an effective and timely manner.
  • Participate in root cause research and analysis of process failures and product nonconformities.
  • Accurately report all issues, problems, accomplishments, and results of surveys, inspections, meetings, and observations relating to performance of the contract to the project management team.
  • Request and review testing of construction or construction materials as required by the contract requirements.
  • Coordinate and document the testing and commissioning of building systems.
  • Verify and document that all materials received for the project are in conformance with the approved submittal, are handled and stored appropriately, and are acceptable for use in the project.
  • Conduct inspections and periodically document the inspection process for specific definable features of work to verify that work is proceeding in accordance with the Quality Control Program, contract documents, and approved submittals.
  • Order the correction or removal of any construction or construction material that does not meet the standards required by the contract specifications and Quality Control Plan.
  • Document deficiencies, corrective actions taken, and re-inspect all non-conformances prior to acceptance of re-work.
  • Document final inspections, certificates of occupancy, and acceptance of the work and various phases thereof.
  • Work with Project Managers, Superintendents, and Subcontractors to develop a construction schedule.
  • Collect data from the SOV and bid documents to cost-load construction schedules.
  • Assist the project manager with determining activity sequencing and durations.
  • Analyze project specifications to ensure all contract requirements are incorporated into construction schedules.
  • Update schedules and prepare progress, performance, and cost reports as required.
  • Coordinate project meetings, prepare requisite documentation, including agendas and meeting minutes.
  • Work with Project Managers and Superintendents on resource planning, availability, and allocation.
  • Coordinate with internal and external parties to ensure reporting compliance.
  • Provide support to remote personnel as necessary.
  • Support Project Managers in managing procurement actions (accruals, invoicing, and costing).
  • Analyze complex technical RFP documentation and interpret solicitation documents to develop outlines, compliance matrices, schedules, and other required components.
  • Review content to ensure compliance, alignment with strategy, and evaluation criteria, and mitigate gaps and deficiencies.
  • Continuously curate, grow, and update the library of approved content, driving and organizing proposal content to maximize reuse effectiveness and utility.
  • Research and integrate information from multiple sources into a cohesive, easy-to-read, compliant, and accurate final product.
  • Participate in developing safety plans in accordance with contract documents.
  • Assure compliance with applicable safety programs.
  • Ensure compliance with travel and community entrance requirements.
  • Ensure employees receive training and PPE resources to conduct work activities.
  • Work with corporate HSE to ensure safety plans are in compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Effectively maintain the confidentiality of client and employee information.
  • Track all permits to ensure they are requested in a timely manner, filed, documented, approved, and distributed. May involve 3rd-party permitter.
  • Maintain training requirements and files for personnel.
  • Assist in developing work plans and format for submittal.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a construction-related field or related work experience.
  • 5 years of work experience in the construction industry.
  • 1 year of experience working with Primavera P6.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, OneDrive, and the Adobe Suite.
  • Have or have the ability to obtain a USACE QCS certification.
Work Environment:

General office environment. Some travel both domestically and internationally required based on business demands.
