Financial Management Consultant

Interclypse Inc. is in search of a Financial Management Consultant to provide essential financial oversight and project management services to federal civilian agencies. This role demands effective collaboration with clients to develop methodologies aimed at addressing audit-related concerns throughout the organization. The position requires a commitment to working onsite at the client’s location.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Reconciling budgetary allocations as mandated by external authorities (e.g., Treasury, DoD).
- Creating budget line items and developing accounting frameworks.
- Supporting initiatives related to financial management, budgeting, information technology, and operational transformations.
- Implementing process enhancements to reduce accounting discrepancies and foster a deeper understanding of the budgeting process.
- Providing summarized recommendations to leadership regarding assigned financial streams.
- Overseeing fund balance initiatives to ensure compliance with obligations.
- Integrating financial data to support the budget formulation process.
- Updating and maintaining budget authority trackers based on pro-rated amounts as determined by continuing resolutions to ensure cash availability for contract obligations.
This project will continue for an extended period, allowing team members the opportunity to engage in various aspects of financial management as needs arise, including financial statements, internal controls, property accounting, and audit liaison activities.
QualificationsPreferred Skills and Experience:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
- Professional certifications such as CPA, CGFM, CDFM, PMP, CISA, or CIA are highly desirable.
