Job Overview

Interclypse Inc. is in search of a Financial Management Consultant to provide essential financial oversight and project management support to federal civilian agencies. This role emphasizes collaborative efforts with clients to develop effective methodologies aimed at identifying and addressing audit-related issues throughout the organization. The position is entirely onsite at the designated client location.

Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Reconciling budgetary allocations as mandated by external authorities (e.g., Treasury, DoD).
  • Creating detailed budget line items and accounting frameworks.
  • Supporting initiatives related to financial management, budgetary processes, information technology, and operational enhancements.
  • Implementing improvements to streamline accounting practices and foster a deeper understanding of budgetary operations.
  • Providing comprehensive recommendations to leadership regarding assigned projects.
  • Managing fund balance initiatives to ensure compliance with financial obligations.
  • Integrating financial data to facilitate the budget creation process.
  • Updating and maintaining budget authority trackers based on pro-rated amounts as determined by ongoing resolutions to ensure cash flow aligns with contract obligations.
Project Scope

This role offers the opportunity to engage in various aspects of financial management as the project evolves, including but not limited to financial statements, internal controls, property accounting, and audit liaison responsibilities.

Qualifications

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Certifications such as CPA, CGFM, CDFM, PMP, CISA, or CIA are highly desirable.
