About the Role

As a key member of the Dignity Health team, the Chief Medical Officer will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and service are maintained across our facilities. This includes overseeing the implementation of quality improvement efforts, participating in the development and implementation of quality initiatives, and working closely with hospital staff, department directors, and physicians to drive excellence in patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize quality improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve clinical performance, patient satisfaction, and provider satisfaction.
  • Work with the service area network to identify and evaluate outstanding physicians and physician groups for participation in the provider network.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic plans and business plans, including identification of strategic partners, growth opportunities, and resource allocation.

Requirements

  • Medical degree or DO degree with an active medical license.
  • Minimum of five years of clinical experience in a specialty and five years of management experience in healthcare.
  • Current active unrestricted license to practice medicine in at least one US state or territory and prior Board Certification in a specialty.
