Job Summary

The Director of Packaging Development will be responsible for creating innovative packaging solutions that meet our business objectives and commitment to sustainability. Responsibilities
  • Lead the packaging development process by collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Design, test, and implement new packaging solutions that enhance product integrity, improve customer experience, and drive cost efficiencies.
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to optimize packaging processes, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
  • Ensure all packaging meets industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and external partners to source innovative packaging materials and technologies.
  • Develop and manage the packaging development budget.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in packaging to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve sustainability.
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to the packaging development team.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and advancements in packaging technology, materials, and processes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in packaging development within the Manufacturing industry, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrated experience with technical packaging, consumer packaging, and CPG manufacturing.
  • Proven track record of applying Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvement.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively and innovatively.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A strong commitment to sustainability and a passion for innovative packaging solutions.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% both domestically and internationally.
