About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Prisma Health. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective delivery of pharmaceutical care to our patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Medication Preparation and Delivery
- Accurately prepare and deliver medications to patients in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensure that all medications are properly labeled and stored.
- Pharmacy Operations
- Assist pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications.
- Contribute to the maintenance of a clean and organized pharmacy environment.
- Customer Service
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers.
- Respond to patient and family inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Quality Assurance
- Participate in quality assurance activities to ensure the accuracy and quality of medication preparation and delivery.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Education and Certification
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Registered with the South Carolina Board of Pharmacy (Lawson Code SCPH) required.
- Skills and Abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of pharmacy software.
Work Environment
This is a full-time position working in a hospital pharmacy setting. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team to provide excellent patient care.
