  • Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of students' speech and language abilities, including articulation, fluency, and language comprehension.
  • Therapy Planning and Implementation: Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each student's specific needs, with a focus on improving communication skills and supporting educational progress.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with teachers, parents, and other school staff to incorporate therapy goals into classroom activities and daily routines, ensuring a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Progress Monitoring and Documentation: Regularly monitor and document student progress, making necessary adjustments to therapy plans to ensure effective outcomes.
  • IEP Participation: Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development and review of IEPs, ensuring that students receive the support they need to succeed.
  • Record Keeping and Confidentiality: Maintain accurate and confidential records in accordance with school and state regulations, upholding the highest standards of professionalism and discretion.
Requirements
  • Education and Licensure: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology and a valid Speech-Language Pathologist license in Florida.
  • Experience and Skills: A minimum of 1+ years of experience working with school-aged children, with strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to manage a full-time caseload effectively.
