Job Overview:

As an Automotive Service Technician at Goodyear, you will be tasked with professionally inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing tires, as well as performing automotive services, all while ensuring an outstanding customer experience. Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute line technician services, conduct routine inspections and maintenance, perform system diagnostics, and troubleshoot automotive issues, including road testing vehicles post-repair to confirm mechanical integrity and identify any additional concerns.
  • Work on brake systems, hydraulic systems, exhaust systems, fuel ignition systems, electrical systems, air conditioning, computer systems, and power-train management systems, while providing service recommendations based on road tests.
  • Show a commitment to learning new technologies in the rapidly changing automotive landscape.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, including clear communication and feedback regarding customer vehicles, while mentoring junior and mid-level technicians.
  • Document all tasks performed on the repair order accurately.
  • Report any safety concerns to management immediately.
  • Foster teamwork to ensure timely and precise customer care during all operating hours.
  • Adhere strictly to company policies regarding vehicle care and operation.
  • Perform various manual tasks for extended periods, which may involve lifting, standing, bending, and squatting.

Basic Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience in automotive diagnostics, problem-solving, and repairs.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • No relocation assistance is available for this position.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • ASE Certifications.
  • Previous experience with exhaust systems, fuel ignition systems, electrical systems, air conditioning, computer systems, and power-train management systems.
