Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Stotz Equipment. As a Field Tech I/Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for the effective diagnosis and repair of engine components, including small engines, agricultural equipment, and other equipment sold in the market area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair engine components, including small engines, agricultural equipment, and other equipment sold in the market area.
  • Work safely, professionally, and in a timely manner to ensure high-quality repairs.
  • Provide excellent customer service and act as an ambassador for the company.
  • Perform daily duties, including customer contact, diagnosing, troubleshooting, making repairs, and acting as an ambassador of the company.
  • Work in the field, on occasion, work will be completed in the shop.
Requirements
  • 4 to 6 years of diesel mechanic experience in a shop or in the field.
  • Proven knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and techniques used in the repair of John Deere equipment.
  • Must own and maintain their own tools.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Ability to work a varying work schedule/shift and be flexible to respond to after-hour calls.
  • Ability to assemble and perform maintenance functions on equipment.
  • Able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
  • Have and maintain a clean driving record.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Excellent oral communication and written skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 4 to 6 years of John Deere experience.
