Ultrasound Specialist Maternal Fetal Medicine

This position performs prescribed Sonography procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. Competently performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment and initiative.
Key Responsibilities- Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s). Analyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results. Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patient and repeating procedure. Enters, transmits and reports scan results.
- Reviews patient history and physician's orders. Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation.
- When ordered, prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice. Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate.
- Prepares equipment and supplies. Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters. Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment. Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) in Obstetrics and Gynecology required within 12 months of hire
- Nuchal Translucency Certification- Fetal Medicine Foundation completed within 12 months of hire.
- Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school or six months to one year of relevant experience and/or education as determined by the company in lieu of associate degree.
- CPR – American Heart Association.
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
- 4 years of OB/GYN experience.
- Registered in Fetal Echo.
