Position Summary:

We are in search of a junior structural engineer for our team, where you will collaborate with a skilled multi-disciplinary group of professionals with varying levels of expertise. This role presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to a new office dedicated to serving industry leaders.

Key Responsibilities:

· Design steel structural systems, from simple to complex, for industrial and semiconductor facilities, with a focus on equipment support and seismic design, including:

  • Equipment anchorage, pipe/ductwork/conduit supports, access platforms, and stairway designs.
  • Analysis of existing structures.

· Develop construction documents, including detailed drawings and specifications.

· Collaborate with team members across mechanical, electrical, and other disciplines.

· Participate in client design review meetings and present design strategies.

· Prepare specifications and technical reports.

Expectations:

· Familiarity with current building codes, particularly IBC and local amendments, as well as ASCE7.

· Knowledge of common structural materials, especially steel, and relevant codes such as ACI and AISC.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Exceptional technical writing capabilities.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Quick learner with the ability to grasp new engineering and construction concepts.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and RISA software.
  • Commitment to punctuality and a strong work ethic.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 3 years of structural engineering design experience.
  • Experience with advanced technology and industrial clients is preferred.
  • EIT, PE, or SE registration is a plus.

We encourage you to highlight any relevant skills, such as proficiency in AutoCAD or Revit, as well as experience with structural system software like RISA. Please also include any past work or volunteer experiences that may be relevant.
