Job Overview

Next Move Healthcare is seeking a skilled Radiology Operations Manager to oversee daily operations and supervise Radiologic Technologists and/or Sonographers within an assigned region.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the mobile radiology field and at least 2 years in a supervisory role.

Responsibilities include:

  • Planning and implementing staffing and schedules within the designated region.
  • Monitoring performance and forecasting service needs for personnel management, capital equipment, and departmental P&L management.
  • Ensuring compliance with state regulations and laws, including Radiation and Health Department rules.
  • Providing direct supervision to all staff within the assigned region.
  • Maintaining communication between management and technologists to ensure quality study results.
  • Conducting staff evaluations and providing recommendations for employee development.
  • Overseeing image quality reviews and maintaining inventory of equipment within the region.
  • Orienting new employees to company policies and procedures.
  • Assisting technologists with technical problems and addressing problem behaviors through coaching and counseling.
  • Reviewing technologist payroll to ensure productivity and resource control.
  • Performing X-rays/ultrasounds as needed to maintain service levels.
  • Managing fleet scheduling for vehicle/equipment maintenance to ensure reliability.
  • Continuously monitoring technologist credentialing, training, and quality of service.
  • Adhering to health and safety policies and reporting accidents or incidents immediately.

Physical Demands:

  • Pushing/pulling equipment weighing lbs using vehicle ramps and pulleys.
  • Pushing/pulling equipment in facilities or homes may increase the force to 50 lbs or more, occurring 16 to 24 times daily.

Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the mobile radiology field.
  • At least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Valid State Radiologic Technologist/CRT and ARRT, ARDMS/CCI certifications.
  • Valid drivers license.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% within the service area.

Certification Requirements:

  • ARRT
  • State License (California)
  • Limited license not accepted
