Position Overview:
The Retail Banking Office Manager plays a pivotal role in driving branch success and achieving service objectives. This position involves leading and mentoring a team of sales and service professionals to meet or surpass established growth and service benchmarks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee branch activities to ensure alignment with the bank's strategic goals.
- Provide daily management and coaching for a team of 5 to 12 associates, including making staffing decisions, conducting performance evaluations, and facilitating training and promotions.
- Manage administrative functions of the branch, including budgeting, profitability oversight, and operational compliance.
- Identify opportunities for business development and cross-selling, while enhancing the skills of associates in sales and service.
- Make informed business decisions that benefit both customers and the bank.
- Maintain flexibility in scheduling, including working 2-3 Saturdays each month as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in retail banking is required.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of management or supervisory experience in a retail banking setting is essential.
- Proven track record in business development and branch operations is necessary.
- Strong understanding of deposit and retail loan products, along with familiarity in business lending.
- Knowledge of financial principles, including interest computation and payment calculations.
- Excellent coaching and development skills, along with creativity.
- Proficient in teller operations and processing.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Basic computer proficiency is required.
