Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified individual to fulfill a critical role in managing and supporting our IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Microsoft technologies and demonstrate proficiency in system administration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and maintain the integrity of the information technology systems and infrastructure.
  • Conduct detailed analyses to plan, design, and evaluate various IT tools and solutions.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for user requests regarding system enhancements and upgrades, particularly for complex issues.
  • Diagnose and resolve intricate problems efficiently with minimal supervision.
  • Establish operational standards to ensure compatibility between hardware and software, adhering to defined specifications.
  • Administer and maintain operating systems and associated software, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Schedule and execute system backups, performing data recovery as necessary.
  • Engage in root cause analysis and monitoring of production systems to ensure reliability.
  • Identify and implement process improvements in collaboration with team members.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive systems documentation and user manuals.
  • Participate actively in the planning and design of new platforms, integrating innovative technologies into existing systems.
  • Evaluate new technologies and conduct cost analyses for newly designed platforms.
  • Create and assess technical recovery plans to minimize downtime during system outages.
  • Review and manage the problem management register, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
  • Utilize scripting techniques to automate routine tasks and enhance efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • 4-6 years of relevant experience in IT, systems administration, or a related field.

Clearance Requirement

  • Secret clearance is mandatory.

Essential Skills

  • Proficient in Windows Server environments.
  • Experienced with Active Directory management.
  • Skilled in PowerShell scripting.

Additional Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems, including Windows, Windows Server, Office365, SharePoint, and Teams.
  • Ability to apply standard methodologies and techniques in system administration.
  • Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware, software, or networking issues.
  • Capability to plan and coordinate the implementation of new technologies while addressing technical challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to simplify technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • Exceptional customer service orientation.
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and digital workspace technologies.
