Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled General Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at St. Louis Community College. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing daily maintenance tasks to ensure the interior and exterior of our campus buildings are safe and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily maintenance tasks, including repairs to electrical, plumbing, and carpentry systems, as well as painting and roofing work.
  • Repair and maintain campus equipment, including gym washers and dryers, whirlpool and kitchen equipment, and athletic equipment.
  • Assist with setup and teardown of equipment for classes and events.
  • Complete supply order forms and perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need a High School Diploma or equivalent and three years of full-time experience in general maintenance work or as a skilled worker in one of the building or mechanical trades. A valid driver's license and insurance are also required.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include experience working in a fast-paced environment and a strong attention to detail.
