Staff Accountant Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Accountant to join our team at Commonwealth Staffing. As a Staff Accountant, you will play a critical role in supporting our client's financial operations and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of their financial records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
  • Record accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Make journal entries and assist the Controller with various reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Assist the Controller with special projects and provide support as needed.
  • Effectively create and utilize system reports from the company's accounting software to inform financial decisions.
  • Respond to financial inquiries and requests from company managers in a professional and timely manner.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 2-4+ years of accounting experience.
  • Experience using accounting software (Yardi, MRI, Sage, etc.).
  • Intermediate or above Excel user.
  • Must have a positive attitude, be detail-oriented, and be a team player.
  • Someone who can work autonomously and manage deadlines effectively.
