Job Description

Orion Lakes Family Dentistry PLLC seeks a skilled Dental Assistant to support our clinical team. This full-time position is located in Lake Orion, Michigan, and offers a competitive salary range of $50,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience.

The successful candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, strong communication abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care. As a Dental Assistant, you will be responsible for preparing patients for procedures, maintaining accurate records, and contributing to a collaborative and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Clinical Support:
    • Assisting dentists during procedures, preparing instruments, and taking x-rays.
    • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace, adhering to infection control protocols.
  • Patient Care:
    • Providing patients with information, answering questions, and ensuring accurate records.
    • Educating patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care.
  • Administrative Duties:
    • Scheduling appointments, managing records, and ordering supplies.
    • Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with x-ray certification or CDA preferred.
  • Experience as a dental assistant is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with dental software, including apteryx and open dental.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
