Job Summary

CME Associates is seeking a highly skilled Civil Field Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for conducting field investigations, special inspections, material testing, project management, and performance engineering calculations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of engineering functions under the direction of a Senior Professional Engineer.
  • Prepare engineering studies and reports, including geotechnical calculations and technical standards adherence.
  • Project coordination and management of Special Inspection and Construction Materials Testing work.
  • Conduct special inspections, field inspections, and materials testing as needed, including soils, concrete, masonry, and steel.
  • Supervise and support project teams, as necessary, and implement Quality Assurance.
  • Engage in continuing education to develop skills and maintain certifications.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Engineer in Training (E.I.T.) certificate.
  • High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Functional knowledge of industry practices and regulations, NY State Building Code, and engineering standards.
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with managers, co-workers, and clients through clear communication and proactive progress reporting.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects with schedules and budgets.
  • Familiarity with construction materials, procedures, and documents is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license required.
