Chief Financial Officer Opportunity

Habitat for Humanity is seeking a seasoned Chief Financial Officer to drive financial planning and accounting practices, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and reporting on business activities.

About the Role
The CFO will be a strategic partner to the Senior Leadership Team, responsible for optimizing financial planning and accounting practices, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and reporting on business activities.

Key Responsibilities
• Oversee treasury, budgeting, audit, tax, accounting, purchasing, real estate, long-range forecasting, and insurance activities.
• Synthesize information into concise presentations and reports for the CEO, Senior Leadership Team, and Board of Directors.
• Partner with Senior Leadership Team and Finance Committee for presentations and monthly reporting to the Board.
• Oversee the implementation of a new ERP system focusing on data accuracy and financial reporting.
• Lead the Finance/Accounting team toward cohesion and implement performance metrics.
• Manage the preparation of reports summarizing and forecasting business activity and financial position.
• Coordinate the preparation of the organization's annual 990 Tax return.
• Manage A-133 audits and grant compliance.
• Advise on operational adjustments due to tax code revisions.
• Build relationships with banks and financial institutions for financing opportunities.
• Exhibit executive presence under pressure and tight deadlines.

Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in accounting or business administration or equivalent business experience with at least 8-10 years of progressively responsible experience.
• Experience in construction, retail, or non-profit organizations is a plus.
• High level of written and oral communication skills.
• CPA or Certified Management Accountant certification preferred.
