Security Clearance Investigators

ACI Federal Inc. is seeking qualified and experienced Security Clearance Investigators to join our team, supporting various clients across the United States.
Mandatory Qualifications:
- Active T5 (TOP SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE) is essential.
- Proven experience as a Credentialed Background Investigator.
- Recent field investigation experience with DCSA/NBIB background checks within the last year, including NTS certification.

Additional Requirements:
- A valid driver's license and dependable transportation are necessary; public transport may be used when feasible.
- Investigators must carry adequate motor vehicle insurance, which may be subject to change.
Core Responsibilities:
The primary role involves conducting thorough background investigations to assess the employment suitability of individuals requiring access to sensitive or classified U.S. Government information. The majority of the work will support the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA), with assignments based on performance and organizational needs.
Investigators will:
- Conduct in-person interviews with subjects, neighbors, employers, and family members.
- Perform comprehensive record searches at various institutions, including law enforcement agencies, courthouses, educational facilities, and medical establishments.
- Compile and report findings in a clear and concise manner using a government-issued computer system.
Work Environment:
Investigators will operate remotely, utilizing a contractor liaison for support, and will be compensated per completed task. Regular travel within a 50-mile radius from home is expected, with potential for longer distances based on business requirements, which may include additional compensation.

As a federal contractor, compliance with regulations regarding substance use is mandatory, and marijuana use is strictly prohibited.
Physical Requirements:
Investigators must be capable of:
- Prolonged sitting, standing, and walking.
- Engaging in physical activities such as bending, stooping, and climbing stairs.
- Driving for extended periods and operating office equipment.
- Maintaining focus and attention to detail in a moderately noisy environment.
