Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Quality Assurance and Food Safety: Collaborate with the FSQA Manager to develop and implement quality assurance and food safety systems, ensuring compliance with SQF, GFSI, HACCP, GMPs, and USDA regulations.
  • Quality Performance: Implement quality performance metrics and track key performance indicators to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Training and Development: Train and mentor QC Technicians in the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards, including SQF, GFSI, HACCP, GMPs, and USDA.
  • Product Quality: Inspect products, ingredients, and materials used at all stages of production for conformance to company standards.
  • Nonconformance Issues: Track and coordinate nonconformance issues within and between departments.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Food Science or Associates with QA 2-3 years of experience.
  • Experience: 2-3 years of experience in supervision in a quality department in a meat manufacturing facility, with HACCP, SQF, and or other GFSI Certification.
  • Skills: Excellent writing, reporting, and data-gathering abilities, with proficiency in English and Bilingual Spanish (desired).
