Position Overview:

As an Automation and Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing control systems and automation solutions to optimize manufacturing processes. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in electrical engineering and control systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Design: Design and develop automation and control systems, including PLC programming, HMI development, and SCADA systems.
  • Implementation: Oversee the installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of automation systems to ensure they meet performance specifications.
  • Project Management: Manage automation projects from concept to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, production, and maintenance teams to identify automation needs and implement effective solutions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Analyze and improve existing automation systems to enhance efficiency, reliability, and safety.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all control systems, including schematics, programs, and user manuals.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in automation and controls engineering within a manufacturing environment.
  • Skills:
  • Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Allen Bradley, Siemens).
  • Experience with HMI and SCADA systems.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, instrumentation, and control theories.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Project management experience with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
