Position Overview:
As an Automation and Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing control systems and automation solutions to optimize manufacturing processes. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in electrical engineering and control systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Design: Design and develop automation and control systems, including PLC programming, HMI development, and SCADA systems.
- Implementation: Oversee the installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of automation systems to ensure they meet performance specifications.
- Project Management: Manage automation projects from concept to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, production, and maintenance teams to identify automation needs and implement effective solutions.
- Continuous Improvement: Analyze and improve existing automation systems to enhance efficiency, reliability, and safety.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all control systems, including schematics, programs, and user manuals.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in automation and controls engineering within a manufacturing environment.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Allen Bradley, Siemens).
- Experience with HMI and SCADA systems.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, instrumentation, and control theories.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Project management experience with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
