Job Description

At Western Digital, we're pushing the boundaries of technology to make the impossible possible. As a Wafer Development Engineer, you'll play a critical role in integrating new wafer technologies and read/write head designs into our innovative HDD products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the introduction and qualification of new wafer products, ensuring seamless transfer to manufacturing according to product schedule.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive wafer data packages, driving product qualification and manufacturing readiness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and excellence in wafer development.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in physical science or engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven data retrieval and analytical skills, with a focus on problem-solving and critical thinking.
  • Excellent project management and communication skills, with the ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.
