Job Summary:

As a Research Study Assistant at Northwestern University, you will play a crucial role in conducting biomedical and social-behavioral research. Your responsibilities will include administering tests and questionnaires, collecting and processing responses, and gathering information. You will also assist in the preparation of material for inclusion in reports and ensure that all activities are conducted in accordance with Good Clinical Practices (GCP) and relevant local, state, and federal laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Recruit study participants and obtain informed consent.
  • Schedule study visits and conduct interviews.
  • Score test results and collect survey data.
  • Review medical records and consult with nurses and physicians.
  • Maintain detailed records of results and prepare basic charts and graphs.
  • Perform scientific literature searches and complete portions of grant applications.
  • Process reimbursements for travel expenses and monitor petty cash.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Completion of NU's IRB CITI training and re-certification every 3 years.
Compensation and Benefits:

The target hiring range for this position is between $19.00 and $21.31 per hour. Offered salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
