We are seeking a skilled Leading IT Infrastructure Support Specialist to join our team at Ledgent Technology. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our organization's IT infrastructure.
About the Role
This position involves managing hardware, software, networks, and other components essential to our IT environment, while assisting senior IT staff in maintaining system efficiency.
Main Responsibilities
- System Installation and Configuration: Assist in the installation and configuration of operating systems, software, and hardware.
- System Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor system performance and proactively troubleshoot issues, perform routine maintenance including updates, patches, and backups.
- User Support: Provide technical support to end-users for hardware and software issues, assist in resolving helpdesk tickets and service requests, train users on basic system operations and best practices.
- Network Administration: Support the configuration and maintenance of network equipment, including routers, switches, and firewalls, troubleshoot network connectivity issues and maintain a secure, efficient network.
- Security Management: Implement and enforce security policies and procedures, monitor and respond to security incidents and vulnerabilities, collaborate with senior administrators to strengthen security measures.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Relevant experience in a related field, excellent customer service skills and professional demeanor, two or more years of experience in a systems administration role.
- Familiarity with operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux), knowledge of network protocols and services, understanding of system administration tools and practices.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Desired Skills
- Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Windows Server, VMware, Citrix), experience with virtualization technologies.
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash), familiarity with cloud platforms, basic skills in Active Directory administration.
