Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Controls Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in installing controls solutions for residential and commercial heating and air conditioning systems.

Responsibilities

  • Install low-voltage HVAC wiring for new and existing homes and businesses
  • Install standalone and DDC controls systems for HVAC/R in residential and commercial applications
  • Install conduit, electrical raceways, cabling, and controls devices
  • Experience with wiring schematics and a firm working knowledge of electrical systems (AC/DC)
  • Complete necessary paperwork, including daily reports, AWA's, and RFI's
  • Ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams
  • Maintain accurate and complete lists of job materials used
  • Responsible for maintaining knowledge of local and national codes and industry standards
  • Cooperate with other trades on the project to complete the project
  • Responsible for physical jobsite organization and housekeeping to ensure a safe professional work area

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in wiring
  • Positive attitude and team player
  • Ability to work outside, inside, and in dusty, noisy, and hazardous areas
  • Ability to work in high places, tight places, confined spaces, and other adverse locations
  • Ability to climb, balance, squat, kneel, and crouch
  • Ability to work in all types of weather
  • Working knowledge of all trade materials and tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Residential and/or commercial electrical installation experience preferred
  • Previous HVAC controls wiring for low-voltage wiring preferred
  • Valid driver's license and ability to be insured on company insurance
