Position Overview

Columbus Technical College is in search of a qualified individual to join our team as an adjunct instructor within the Practical Nursing program. This role involves assessing student progress towards educational objectives, participating in professional development activities, and ensuring compliance with safety and security protocols in training environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver instruction to students enrolled in the Practical Nursing program.
  • Adhere to state guidelines in the creation of program and course outlines, including goals and objectives.
  • Monitor and evaluate student performance in achieving educational goals.
  • Manage inventory of supplies and equipment necessary for the program.
  • Develop effective teaching strategies and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Engage with students, faculty, and other educational professionals to address instructional programs and student progress.
  • Ensure that all safety and security measures are upheld in training facilities.
  • Respond to administrative inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Support initiatives related to student recruitment, retention, and job placement.
  • Maintain compliance with program accreditation standards.
  • Exhibit strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrate effective communication abilities, both written and verbal.
  • Utilize keen observation and evaluation skills in supervising students.
  • Possess general computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Participate in relevant professional organizations and activities.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of three years of experience as a licensed registered nurse within the last seven years.
  • Possession of a current Georgia or eNLC (enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact) RN License.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
  • Experience in long-term care and hospital settings.
  • Prior teaching experience in post-secondary education.

Compensation:

Salary will be determined based on educational background and professional experience.
