Job Overview

Columbus Technical College is seeking a qualified individual to take on the role of an instructor for courses related to manufacturing, both for credit and non-credit programs. This position operates under general supervision and involves preparing educational content, delivering a set curriculum, and guiding students through their learning journey. The instructor may be required to teach during various times, including daytime, evenings, weekends, and online, with flexibility based on the availability of the applicant. This is a part-time, non-exempt position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct classes as assigned
  • Facilitate, instruct, and oversee students in classroom environments
  • Provide effective individualized instruction
  • Adhere to deadlines for curriculum development and delivery
  • Maintain accurate program documentation and records
  • Ensure uniformity in course materials, instructional methods, and student records
  • Support student recruitment efforts
  • Assist in organizing special events, projects, and activities as needed
  • Work effectively within the organizational framework; demonstrate reliability and responsible conduct

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A minimum of three (3) years of relevant industry experience in fields such as Industrial Maintenance, Engineering, Mechatronics, Machining, Electronics, or a related discipline
  • Experience in teaching within a classroom or industrial context

-AND-

  • Possession of a valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification, diploma, or degree concentration in Industrial Maintenance, Engineering, Mechatronics, Machining, Electronics, or a related area
  • Experience teaching at the postsecondary level
  • Industry-recognized certifications in manufacturing or safety

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary will be determined based on educational background and professional experience.
