Join Freedom Forever as a Junior Litigation Counsel and contribute to the company's success in the legal field.
Job Summary:We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Litigation Counsel to join our team. As a key member of our legal department, you will be responsible for providing legal analysis, services, and support in various areas, including transactional matters, corporate law, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:- Analyze complex legal and factual issues, conduct extensive research, and develop defense strategies on behalf of Freedom Forever.
- Correspond with opposing counsel to discuss cases and negotiate resolutions at all stages of the litigation process.
- Review, prepare, and negotiate leases, settlement agreements, and other commercial documents.
- Respond to complaints, discovery requests, and file motions with the court as needed.
- Manage contract databases, monitor contract renewals, and perform other duties as assigned.
- JD degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Member in good standing of the State Bar of California.
- 1-3 years of general legal experience, with a preference for multi-state regulatory licensing, contractor's licensing, and compliance experience.
- Real property, corporate, and employment law experience is a plus.
- Excellent writing, research, and analytical skills.
- Ability to communicate professionally with diverse company personnel.
- Meet deadlines and perform multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license and insurance, with the ability to drive a personal vehicle to attend hearings and other legal matters as needed.
- Bilingual Spanish and English is a plus.
Freedom Forever is a hybrid company with a 3-day workweek in our Foothill Ranch, CA office. We offer a competitive salary range of $100k - $125k + benefits.
