Position Summary

Torrent Resources is on the lookout for a Technical Sales Engineer to bolster our expanding stormwater market in Southern California. This role entails marketing and providing technical support that leads to the specification and installation of Torrent Resources' MaxWell Drywells. The selected candidate will cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, effectively showcase the extensive range of stormwater solutions offered by Torrent Resources and Oldcastle Infrastructure, furnish engineers with necessary technical data and resources, and oversee projects from inception to completion. This position allows for remote work but necessitates frequent local travel for face-to-face interactions with civil engineers and other relevant contacts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Uphold and advocate for the company's core values while fostering a safety-first operational culture.
  • Establish and maintain ongoing communication with the civil engineering community and other significant clients through presentations, project discussions, public engagements, trade exhibitions, and targeted speaking opportunities.
  • Assist stormwater design teams in specifying Torrent Resources' MaxWell Drywells, utilizing internal resources to efficiently provide design support and address technical inquiries.
  • Educate design engineers on the advantages of MaxWell Drywells and how to leverage their versatility to fulfill project stormwater treatment requirements.
  • Conduct thorough analyses of each project to ensure accurate specification of solutions and services that effectively meet project objectives and stormwater regulatory standards.
  • Stay informed about evolving regulations concerning stormwater, groundwater recharge, and infiltration policies.
  • Proactively seek new opportunities to enhance the utilization of MaxWell Drywells and Oldcastle Infrastructure's stormwater solutions through market analysis, cost-effectiveness, and customer engagement.
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal team members by participating in meetings, providing training and constructive feedback, and collaborating closely to manage customer requests.
  • Effectively manage a CRM pipeline through regular updates using Salesforce for projects, accounts, contacts, and activities.
  • Become proficient in total stormwater management, including detention/retention, treatment, infiltration, green infrastructure, and maintenance services.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience collaborating with civil engineers, construction operations, or a related field.
  • Ability to interpret and understand civil construction specifications and drawings.
  • Basic knowledge of stormwater management and relevant regulations.
  • Coachable, enthusiastic, assertive, and technically adept.
  • Highly driven to achieve both personal and team success.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License.

Compensation Overview

  • Target Salary Range: $95,000.00 to $105,000.00
