Position Summary
Carpet One Floor Home is seeking a dynamic and proactive individual with a robust background in flooring installation and project management for our operations team.

The role of the Operations Supervisor encompasses the recruitment and oversight of installation personnel while streamlining the sales process, warehouse operations, and installation activities.

This position is crucial for managing the operational functions of the business and significantly contributes to overall productivity.

The Operations Supervisor will report directly to the Store Manager and collaborate with the Warehouse and Sales Managers to ensure seamless business operations.

This role is classified as exempt from overtime regulations.


Key Responsibilities

Staff Recruitment and Supervision
Identify, recruit, and train installation staff by leveraging individual strengths and addressing weaknesses.
Conduct regular safety meetings to discuss safety protocols and best practices.
Develop and implement a quality assurance framework to evaluate installation teams' performance.
Engage in collaborative goal-setting for the store and assist installers in achieving these objectives.
Provide coaching to installers who do not meet performance expectations to enhance their skills.
Ensure accountability among installers for their contributions to the team and store performance.
Utilize corrective action strategies to support installers who fall short of performance standards.


Operational Oversight
Exhibit a thorough understanding of the key financial drivers within the Carpet One business to ensure accuracy and optimize long-term performance.
Coordinate installation schedules by liaising with installers and customers while preparing necessary documentation.
Monitor and reconcile physical inventory with the inventory management system.
Guarantee installation precision by confirming details with customers and ensuring timely, quality installations.
Foster customer service excellence by regularly engaging with customers to gauge satisfaction.


Business Administration
Participate in ongoing training sessions to promote continuous improvement and learning.
Communicate essential training insights, policies, and procedures to installation staff as needed.
Maintain a professional understanding of flooring products to effectively train staff in customer service.

Address customer service inquiries and complaints by documenting and responding to service requests, ensuring thorough resolution and quality assurance for all service interactions.

Manage accounting responsibilities related to installers' payroll, invoice verification, accounts payable tracking, and customer collection efforts.


Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates must demonstrate proficiency in fulfilling essential duties.

This position may require travel between various locations, including installation and customer sites.

The Operations Supervisor is expected to possess a comprehensive understanding of the business, standards, and products associated with Carpet One.
