We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Laboratory Scientist to join our team at CHRISTUS Health. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of laboratory tests and procedures to ensure accurate and timely results.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including instrumentation and equipment, to ensure optimal performance and accuracy.
- Perform laboratory tests and procedures, including specimen processing, testing, and reporting of results.
- Assure quality control and quality assurance procedures are followed to ensure accurate and reliable results.
- Collaborate with other laboratory staff to ensure smooth operation of the laboratory and to provide support as needed.
- Participate in the development and implementation of new laboratory procedures and protocols.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest laboratory techniques and technologies to ensure continued competence and expertise.
- Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution.
- One year of approved clinical laboratory experience, which must include a clinical rotation through the following sections of the laboratory: Blood Banking, Microbiology, Chemistry, and Hematology, Immunology, and Urinalysis/Body Fluids.
- Board certification or eligibility required for new graduates.
