Clinical Laboratory Scientist

The Defense Health Agency Civilian Corps is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Laboratory Scientist to join our team in Falls Church, VA. As a Clinical Laboratory Scientist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of laboratory test results, which are essential for patient diagnosis and treatment.
This position requires a strong background in laboratory medicine, including experience with various laboratory procedures, instruments, and techniques. You will be responsible for performing complex analyses, evaluating abnormal results, and maintaining equipment and quality controls.
As a Clinical Laboratory Scientist, you will work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure that laboratory results are accurate, reliable, and timely. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing new laboratory procedures, as well as training and mentoring other laboratory staff.

ResponsibilitiesKey responsibilities of this position include:
- Performing complex laboratory analyses, including blood chemistry, hematology, and urinalysis
- Evaluating abnormal laboratory results and taking corrective action as necessary
- Maintaining laboratory equipment and quality controls to ensure accurate and reliable test results
- Developing and implementing new laboratory procedures and protocols
- Training and mentoring other laboratory staff on new procedures and techniques
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely laboratory results
To be considered for this position, you must have a strong background in laboratory medicine, including experience with various laboratory procedures, instruments, and techniques. You must also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
