Job Summary

As a Speech Language Pathology Assistant at Providence Health & Service, you will work under the supervision of a Program Manager and Clinical Supervision of the Speech Language Pathology Practice Manager to perform specific components of Speech Pathology interventions for children 2 to 5 years old.

You will modify interventions only in accordance with changes in patient/client status and within the scope of the plan of care established by the speech pathologist and in accordance with the patient/client's mental health goals.

You will follow an individualized performance development plan to maintain current knowledge and be competent in critical areas, while supporting day treatment plan goals, objectives, functions, and philosophy within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities
  • Perform specific components of Speech Pathology interventions for children 2 to 5 years old
  • Modify interventions in accordance with changes in patient/client status and within the scope of the plan of care

Requirements
  • Associate's Degree - Accredited and board-approved SLPA program
  • Bachelor's Degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited and board-approved program or equivalent education/experience
  • California Speech Language Pathologist Assistant License upon hire
  • Successful completion of 70 hours of supervised field work experience or its clinical experience equivalent
  • Experience working with children 2 to 5 years old
