About the Role:

The Accounting Manager I is a key member of the Accounting team, reporting to and working closely with the US Senior Accounting Manager. This role collaborates within both the broader Finance team and other business units to ensure financial results are recorded and reported effectively and efficiently through strong analytical and technical accounting skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the month-end close process, including supervising other members of the Accounting team, to ensure financial results are accurate, consistent with IFRS and US GAAP as appropriate, and reported on the determined month-end close timeline.
  • Review and approval of journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations for all companies as needed.
  • Assist with the month-end financial reporting and review and analyze balance sheet fluctuation movements on a monthly basis.
  • Mentor and develop more junior members of the Accounting team.
  • Involved in implementation of and ongoing SOX control measures, ensuring that requirements are met.

Requirements:

  • 2-3+ years' of previous experience in a similar finance environment.
  • Experience of US GAAP reporting and SOx compliance is desirable.
  • Independent thinker/problem solver with strong analytic skills.
  • Strong communication skills across all levels of management.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
