Overview:

The Senior Director of Taxation is a senior leadership position responsible for developing and executing the company's global tax strategy. This role requires a strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skillset, as well as extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local income taxes.

Job Description:

This key role will oversee the preparation, management, and review of ASC 740 income tax provision calculation, including effective tax rate, uncertain tax positions, valuation allowance, journal entries, and footnote disclosures. Additionally, the successful candidate will analyze and reconcile tax accounts of international subsidiaries as part of the global consolidation process according to US GAAP.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, manage, and/or review ASC 740 income tax provision calculation
  • Analyze and reconcile tax accounts of international subsidiaries
  • Manage and/or review US international tax calculations
  • Oversee and execute the international tax strategy and planning
  • Research complex tax issues and document procedures/conclusions
  • Lead the coordination and resolution of all international audit issues raised by US and foreign tax authorities
  • Address and resolve critical tax matters related to entity formation, funding, and intercompany transactions
  • Prepare and/or review budget ETR, cash tax forecast, etc.
  • Review Research and Development (R&D) credit calculation
  • Review tax returns and related extensions/estimates
  • Provide support and/or manage IRS audits
  • Assess tax legislation and developments for impact on our business
  • Lead, train, and develop managers and senior managers
  • Assist or manage other ad hoc/special projects

Requirements:

  • Minimum 15+ years of recent experience in US corporate income tax with a combination of Big Four corporate tax department
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or business or an equivalent combination of education and practical experience
  • Recent experience with ASC 740 required
  • Experience with intercompany foreign and domestic transfer pricing and legal entity reporting
  • Experience developing and/or executing global tax strategy
  • Experience with tax modeling and scenario planning
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience with tax software and e-filing
  • Experience with ERP systems
  • CPA or post-graduate study in Taxation preferred

Compensation:

The salary range for this role is estimated to be between $255,000 - $275,000 annually, based on factors such as skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. The total compensation package may include bonus, stock, benefits, and/or other applicable variable compensation. Eligible employees also enjoy access to health benefits, 401(k) with 6% employer match from day one, ESPP with up to a 15% discount up to the federal limit, flexible spending account among other benefits.
