Job Overview

AAA Tidewater Virginia is seeking a dedicated Lube Technician to join our team at the Norfolk Car Care Center. This role is essential for maintaining the performance and safety of our members' vehicles.

The Lube Technician will carry out essential lubrication services and minor repairs on automobiles, collaborating closely with other Car Care Center staff and managing the company fleet.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute oil changes and lubrication services for various vehicles.
  • Conduct tire repairs and installations as needed.
  • Perform additional minor automotive repairs as directed by senior technicians or service writers, based on individual skills.
  • Acquire hands-on experience in diverse areas of automotive repair while pursuing ASE Certifications.
  • Provide transportation for members using the company van.
  • Retrieve parts as required for service operations.
  • Support senior technicians to gain valuable experience.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Undertake miscellaneous tasks as assigned by senior technicians or management.
  • Assist fellow technicians as requested.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience in automotive tire, lubrication, or general repair, or completion of a six-month auto trade school or equivalent training program.

Driving Requirements:

  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Proof of automobile liability insurance is required upon hiring.
