Position Overview

This role is designed to assist the sales team in achieving both company and supplier objectives. Responsibilities include covering sales routes during employee absences and providing consistent, dedicated service to all accounts. The position also emphasizes maintaining a safe and organized work environment by adhering to company safety protocols. The role may involve physical tasks.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Sales:
  • Enhance sales performance by effectively planning and executing daily, weekly, and monthly targets while developing a thorough understanding of product offerings and competitor products.
  • Deliver compelling presentations, address inquiries, resolve objections, and provide evidence of proposals.
  • Showcase products using samples or catalogs, highlighting key features. Provide pricing and solicit orders with the aid of a current price list.
  • Conduct sales and follow-up calls to clients and prospects, promoting our product brands.
  • Prepare orders, design displays, and coordinate on-site promotional activities.
Merchandising:
  • Apply in-store merchandising principles effectively within assigned retail accounts.
  • Encourage retail accounts to implement shelf management, cold box, and floor display strategies to optimize sales opportunities.
  • Utilize point-of-sale materials to enhance merchandising effectiveness.
Account Management:
  • Maintain knowledge of products offered by each account and ensure proper rotation, cleanliness, and stocking of all products.
  • Adhere to the company's professional appearance and dress code, projecting a positive image of the organization and its product line.
  • Perform all duties safely, being considerate of oneself and others.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred; one to two years of relevant experience or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Valid driver's license, good driving record, proof of auto insurance (SR-22 is not acceptable), and reliable transportation are required.
  • Experience in beverage sales and/or merchandising is preferred, along with knowledge of the local market, customer service skills, and distribution industry experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
Physical Requirements

  • Use of pallet jacks and hand carts is necessary for loading and unloading products at customer locations.
  • Frequent lifting and/or moving of 10-25 pounds and occasional moving/pushing or pulling of up to 250 pounds (loaded hand cart or pallet).
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, lift products from floor to waist, shoulder to overhead, use hands to handle objects or controls; reach with hands and arms; and communicate verbally. Occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
