Internal Medicine Residency Program Director

We are seeking a highly qualified Program Director to lead our Internal Medicine and Transitional Year residency programs at HCA Healthcare LewisGale Medical Center in Salem, Virginia.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will provide leadership for both programs, allocating approximately 80% of their time to administrative duties and 20% to clinical time. They will direct and support the educational content and operations of both residency programs, including scholarly activity of residents and faculty.
Requirements- ABMS or equivalent board certification in Internal Medicine
- 3+ years of APD or PD experience preferred
- Post-residency clinical experience with additional experience as a faculty member with an accredited residency program required
- Experience in GME leadership with strong record of academic achievement
- Excellent leadership, clinical and communication skills

Our HCA Healthcare LewisGale Medical Center Institution sponsors 6 programs, including Internal Medicine, Psychiatry, Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Transitional Year, and Gastroenterology, with approximately 150 trainees. Our Internal Medicine Residency program was established in 2017 and has 20 residents/year, while our Transitional Year program has 15 residents and was established in 2021.
We have multiple academic affiliations, including 2 local medical schools and several schools of Nursing.
