Internal Medicine and Transitional Year Residency Program Director

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly qualified Program Director to lead our Internal Medicine and Transitional Year residency programs at HCA Healthcare/Capital Division. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the growth and development of our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and direction for both residency programs
- Develop and implement educational content and operations to support resident learning and growth
- Collaborate with clinical leadership and faculty to ensure high-quality resident education and training
- Manage program budgets and resources to ensure efficient use of funds
- Recruit and retain top talent to join our residency programs
Requirements:
- ABMS or equivalent board certification in Internal Medicine
- 3+ years of APD or PD experience preferred
- Post-residency clinical experience with additional experience as a faculty member with an accredited residency program required
- Experience in GME leadership with strong record of academic achievement
- Excellent leadership, clinical, and communication skills

About Our Programs:
- We sponsor 6 programs, including Internal Medicine, Psychiatry, Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Transitional Year, and Gastroenterology, with a total of approximately 150 trainees
- Our Internal Medicine Residency program was established in 2017 and has 20 residents/year
- Our Transitional Year program has 15 residents and was established in 2021
- We have multiple academic affiliations, including 2 local medical schools and several schools of Nursing
