Technical Support Specialist

The Technical Support Specialist will be responsible for maintaining a thorough knowledge of company products specific to cutting tools, holders, and other machine-related tooling applications. This role involves targeted application support via training and on-site testing to ensure customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Proactively solve tooling problems for customers
Communicate customer and market issues to company management
Develop, update, and maintain technical databases on all products related to cutting tools and related machine applications
Act as a technical liaison to primary tooling vendors regarding product changes, updates, etc.
Provide technical support to field sales engineers and inside sales personnel
Requirements:
High levels of product knowledge
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Competent with the use of computer software specific to the operation
Work Environment:
The employee is regularly required to speak and hear English, stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to use a computer and other equipment. The employee frequently lifts and/or moves up to 70 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision and the ability to clearly focus vision.
PPE Required:
Eye protection, ear protection, and as required by customer, steel-toed shoes and head protection.
