Family Support Coordinator

The U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants (USCRI) is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Family Support Coordinator to join our Post Release Services (PRS) department. This is a remote position located in Missouri, requiring up to 50% travel.
Key Responsibilities- Provide culturally and linguistically appropriate post placement services and comprehensive case management for unaccompanied children (UC).
- Conduct individualized needs assessments with UC and sponsors, and develop case plans with particular attention to culture, language, and special circumstances.
- Manage a minimum caseload of 25, but not to exceed 40 cases.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records according to USCRI and ORR policies and procedures.
- Provide information, education, referrals, outreach, advocacy, and support to ensure that each child receives the necessary services.
- Assess the safety and appropriateness of the placement on an ongoing basis using child welfare principles and social work best practices through phone/video calls, interviews, and home visits.
- Establish and maintain relationships with local pro bono legal resources and service providers to facilitate access for UC and sponsors.
- Coordinate and maintain communication with key stakeholders.
- Participate in regular training and communication sessions with supervisor and headquarters staff.
- Bachelor's degree in social work, a behavioral science, or social services field with a minimum of two years' progressive experience in the fields listed above.
- Experience working with immigrant populations, child welfare, child placements, family preservation, and social service provision is desired.
- Excellent writing and reporting skills.
- Knowledge of local resources and community networks.
- Excellent organizational, verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, and ability to prioritize duties in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license, insurance, and personal transportation.
- Up to 50% long distance travel with limited notice.
- Fluency in Spanish is required; proficiency in additional languages a plus.
- Dedication to the human rights of refugees, immigrants, asylum seekers, and displaced people.
- Pass a criminal background check that includes past history of conviction of child and sexual abuse.
- Possess or be able to obtain CPR and basic first aid certification.
- Satisfactory completion of USCRI's Orientation and Training.
- Satisfactory completion of ORR required trainings prior to serving clients and on an annual basis.
- Complete additional training as identified by supervisor or Human Resources.
- Manual dexterity, tactile, visual, and audio acuity.
- Repetitive motion, prolonged periods of sitting and standing, and sustained visual and mental applications and demands.
- Occasional lifting (up to 25 pounds), bending, pulling, and carrying.
- Quantitative/mathematical ability (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, standard measurements).
