YOUR MISSION
  • Develop, implement, and uphold deployment protocols, operational manuals, and execution strategies to facilitate development release cycles.
  • Serve as a custodian for production environments, ensuring compliance with established policies, procedures, and Change Management protocols.
  • Strategically plan release timelines, cycles, and schedules across projects and programs, minimizing disruptions to other initiatives.
  • Identify and mitigate risks while addressing issues that may impact release scope, timeline, and quality.
  • Conduct reviews for release readiness, milestone assessments, and business go/no-go evaluations.
  • Assess code for compliance with development standards, security measures, and performance criteria.
  • Ensure that the current release methodology meets audit requirements, providing necessary documentation or data regarding software release practices as requested by auditors.
  • Collaborate with Development teams to automate the deployment of new code utilizing CI/CD Pipelines.
  • Partner with QA teams to create a catalog of test scenarios and automate tracking of test scenario outcomes.
  • Continuously assess emerging trends and technologies in software testing and automation, identifying and implementing enhancements to existing processes.
YOUR TALENT
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or 5-10 years of experience in the IT sector.
  • 2 - 4 years of prior experience as a Release Engineer.
  • Proficient in establishing CI/CD release pipelines and continuous testing using tools such as GitHub, Azure DevOps, or Jira.
  • In-depth understanding of the software development lifecycle, along with knowledge of DevOps tools, technologies, and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with SQL and PL/SQL, ETL concepts, SSIS, and Dell BOOMI ETL tools, SFTP/HTTP, APIs, Message Queues, and database architecture.
  • Understanding of systems, security, and networking as they relate to and influence the development environment.
  • Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve project completion.
  • Capacity to excel in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities while maintaining creativity, attention to detail, and strong oral and written communication skills, as well as analytical and problem-solving abilities.
