We've signed contracts with leading electric utilities across the United States, and pilot production of our iron-air batteries has already begun. Later this year, production will take off to high volumes at our new factory in West Virginia.
Join Our Team as a Senior Manager, Battery EngineeringWe're seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Battery Engineering, to lead our team in Somerville, MA, focused on iron-air battery cell performance. As part of our Cell Performance team, you will define cell design specifications and verify with data that our iron-air battery cell can deliver its performance and durability requirements against customer requirements.
You will collaborate closely with our R&D, Electrode Engineering, and Systems Engineering, and Product Management teams to drive to the best overall cell design. In this role, you will lead the team to test, analyze data, and define product specifications for our iron-air battery cell mechanical design and chemistry formulation. Critically, you will own and deliver against our product roadmaps for device power, cell efficiency, and electrolyte formulation.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and grow a world-class team of engineers that designs and validates Form Energy's iron-air battery cells
- Partner with cross-functional teams to optimize performance, cost, controls, and customer requirements
- Work with our supply chain team and external vendors to source custom electrolyte formulations
- Drive verification testing of Form Energy's iron-air battery cells; ensure cells are meeting requirements
