Job SummaryWe are seeking a Caregiver - Direct Support Professional to join our team. As a Caregiver, you will provide support and assistance to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism, mental illness, and behavioral challenges. You will help them with daily living tasks, such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and household chores. You will also support them in developing their skills and abilities, such as budgeting, exercise, and nutrition.
Responsibilities- Provide support and assistance to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism, mental illness, and behavioral challenges.
- Help individuals with daily living tasks, such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and household chores.
- Support individuals in developing their skills and abilities, such as budgeting, exercise, and nutrition.
- Assist individuals with their personal hygiene and support individuals who can have behavioral challenges and other complex needs.
- Develop real, meaningful relationships with the individuals you serve.
- Take initiative to help participants be part of the community and enjoy their favorite activities.
- No high school diploma required.
- No experience required.
- Valid Driver's license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance required for day and evening shifts.
- Skills: Communication, adaptability, multi-tasking, teamwork, time-management.
- Behaviors: Patient, compassionate, reliable, responsible.
