Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team at MyMichigan Health. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Triage patient calls and schedule urgent/emergent add-ons
  • Support and direct patients for consults and/or testing and insurance pre-certification and documentation
  • Perform routine pre-examination procedures, including vital signs and assessing and recording objective and subjective data
  • Update and maintain accurate patient records
  • Assist providers with examinations and procedures
  • Prepare and clean patient areas, set up equipment, and dispose of contaminated supplies
Requirements
  • BLS - Basic Life Support certification required within 3 months of hire or transfer
  • MA CERT - Medical Assistant certification required
  • Active certification/licensure in one of the following: Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or equivalent Medical Assistant Credential
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a physician clinic setting
  • Knowledge of medical office policies, practices, and procedures
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks, and maintain confidentiality. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, be able to work independently, and have a strong attention to detail.
