About the Role

The YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties is seeking a highly skilled Member Services Representative to deliver exceptional service to our members, guests, and program participants. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining good public relations, providing excellent customer service, and promoting memberships and programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times, ensuring a welcoming environment for members and guests.
  • Provide prompt and courteous assistance to members, guests, and program participants, responding to their needs and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Assist with basic membership transactions, including sales, renewals, and cancellations.
  • Respond to member inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner, escalating issues to supervisors as needed.
  • Contribute to a clean and organized front desk and lobby area, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for all.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • At least two years of customer service, sales, or related experience.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
