Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Senior Member Service Representative to join our team at TAPCO Credit Union. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional member service, processing transactions, and promoting our products and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide prompt and accurate member transactions, including opening accounts, processing loans, and handling cash and checks.
  • Greets and welcomes members in a professional manner, providing excellent customer service and resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Processes plastic cards, opens/closes safety deposit boxes, and processes stop payments as needed.
  • Assists members with paying and receiving transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, cash advances, and loan payments.
  • Receives applications for consumer loans, meets with applicants, and explains credit policies.
  • Balance cash drawer at end of business day and researches and resolves discrepancies.
  • Handles cash and checks within set limits and places holds when needed.
  • Performs drive-up functions and night drop duties as assigned.
  • Understand and sell GAP, Warranties, and payment protections plans.
  • Build and retain member relationships through outbound calling to current and potential members.
  • Maintains an up-to-date knowledge on all credit union products and services.
  • Promotes, explains, and cross-sells TAPCO services and products.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years' experience as a MSR 1 or as a teller in a financial institution.
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations and use related computer software.
  • High level of member service and good verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in an office setting and move frequently and regularly.
