Position Overview

The Resource Management position at IMAGINiT focuses on the strategic planning and allocation of resources for new initiatives, adjusting resource requirements for ongoing projects as necessary, and overseeing overall resource utilization to maintain optimal efficiency across all personnel. A background in HR resource activities or related administrative functions is advantageous. Resource managers will collaborate closely with the Project Management Office, Project Managers, and upper management to ensure that the right blend of skills, interpersonal abilities, and experience levels are accurately documented and utilized effectively.

  1. Engage with internal technical staff and external contractors involved in projects.
  2. Allocate available personnel to projects based on their skill sets, past experiences, and current availability.
  3. Oversee daily project operations and associated resource allocations.
  4. Conduct capacity planning to ensure that resources are prepared for upcoming projects.
  5. Monitor and manage employee workloads, utilization rates, and overtime hours.
  6. Resolve resource conflicts as they arise.
  7. Address resource shortages through effective management techniques, including reallocating resources and adjusting staffing levels, while keeping senior management informed of any challenges in meeting client demands.
  8. Support project managers with resource management concerns and enhance resource management processes.
  9. Maintain awareness of all current and upcoming projects and business development efforts to plan resource allocation accordingly.
  10. Collaborate with the HR department on staff training, compensation and benefits planning, payroll administration, and recruitment for project needs.
  11. Stay informed about labor regulations and trends in resource management.
  12. Document processes, such as weekly utilization reports.

Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in human resource management, business administration, management, or a related field is preferred.

Experience in project resource management, HR management, or similar areas is preferred but not mandatory.

PMP certification or relevant experience is a plus but not required.

Familiarity with HR and project management tools related to resource management and reporting is beneficial.

A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in resource or project management is expected.

Experience collaborating with management on employee skill monitoring and development is advantageous.

Self-motivation and the ability to work effectively under pressure are essential.

Ability to connect with a diverse range of individuals possessing various technical skills.

Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation abilities.

Resourceful, with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Excellent organizational, time management, and project management skills.

Strong business acumen and high energy levels.

Capacity to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Travel Requirements

  • This role may involve up to 35% travel, often requiring air travel and overnight stays. A reliable vehicle and valid driver's license are necessary, along with the ability to travel internationally.

Compensation and Benefits
